Welcome to Creative Keys Piano Tuition. We are a dynamic piano studio specialising in quality, online lessons so you can learn from anywhere in the world. 'In person' lessons are also available in Emu Park in Central Queensland.
We also have excellent competition results with all students awarded Platinum or Gold in the AGMS Virtual Festival, and many 1st, 2nd and 3rd placings in the Gold Coast Piano Festival and Brisbane Piano Festival.
In the past, students have performed in various events including Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, and have been selected to perform in the prestigious Yamaha Keyboard Festival State Gala in the Queen Street Mall in Brisbane.
Creative Keys students have also been selected to perform at the AGMS National Awards and Graduation Concert on the Gold Coast.
Christina has been teaching for 34 years, including the past 13 years teaching online. Christina’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Music, Advanced Diploma of Arts and Certificates 3 and 4 in Children’s Services. She has also received the AGMS ‘Top Teacher‘ award for the highest scoring practical exam student Step 1 to grade 2 in Queensland for 2022 and 2023.
Christina is also an adjudicator, examiner, arranger, video demonstrator for Yamaha Music Australia on the CVP Clavinova, and is the current syllabi editor for the Australian Guild of Music and Speech (AGMS).
Online Lessons
At Creative Keys Piano Tuition we specialise in ‘live-online’ lessons with 90% of all lessons being online lessons.
Learn for fun or sit AGMS practical exams and AMEB theory exams.
These exams can be done in person, live-online or by recorded video.
All students in 2023 received A+ or A results in their piano exams and all students entered into AGMS exams were awarded ‘High achievement awards’ which are presented to students at a National ceremony for outstanding exam results.
Students with digital pianos can connect their piano directly to Christina’s piano which means whatever they play, plays through the speakers of Christina’s piano, and visa versa.
An onscreen display shows the keys the student/teacher are playing, the velocity of each key (how loud or softly the key is played), and the pedals and how far they are pressed.
This makes learning online very easy, and is like we are in the same room together.

In person lessons at Emu Park QLD
In person lessons are available in the studio at Emu Park in Central Queensland.
The studio features two air-conditioned studio rooms: One with a Kawai baby grand piano and a Yamaha DGX670 digital piano, the other with a Yamaha CVP809 Clavinova.
These instruments make learning lots of fun and help students unleash their creativity with creating their own backing tracks, or arranging their piano music for big band, full orchestra or even electric guitar and other instruments.
We use games to help students learn theory concepts which makes learning lots of fun and much more memorable.
Backing tracks are used so students sound like a star right from the start, and means everyone enjoys practicing since even beginners make music right from the first lesson.
Sit AGMS practical exams and AMEB theory exams or learn just for fun.
Lessons are available for students aged 7 years to adult and are tailored to suit each student’s learning style and interests.
